Small Groups

Small groups are an important part of GRX because they help to build a true community of Christians in San Francisco. Small groups meet weekly and provide a place for Christians to meet others who share their faith and form accountability groups. It is a safe place to grow spiritually and learn more about the Lord. Each weekly small group meeting usually encourages open discussion and study of the word of God. There is also time for prayer and fellowship with brothers and sisters. At small group, we encourage everyone to be open and to grow relationships with one another and let each other be a part of your lives. Relationships formed under God will last forever.

It's amazing to see how God can work through all of us. He brings together so many different people under His name to share in His grace. God has told us that whenever two or more are present, God will be there in fellowship. Small groups provide this kind of environment where we can share in His love.

Every small group has a different vision and different membership. Some small groups are geared towards recent college graduates, singles, or married couples. Some groups are only for men's or women's discipleship. Each vision may also be different. For example one small group might focus more time and study on how they can help the least of God's people. Another group's focus may be to learn the word at a deeper level and provide accountability. There are also groups that may simply be geared to new Christians or seekers and provide a space for fellowship. Small groups facilitators lead discussion and also help to plan lessons that are applicable to their own group.
